The winning poet will receive $250. All entries will be considered for publication in an upcoming issue of Pilgrimage. Submit 3-5 poems per entry. Please remove your name and any other identifying information from your manuscript. Simultaneous submissions are fine, as long as you contact us immediately should the work be accepted elsewhere. The $20 entry fee includes a one-year subscription to Pilgrimage. Anyone with affiliation to a judge is ineligible to enter. For more on submission guidelines and contest ethics, visit http://www.pilgrimagepress.org/guidelines.html or read on below.
Tarantula Prize for Poetry Code of Ethics
Pilgrimage believes that intent to act ethically, clarity of guidelines, and transparency of process form the foundation of an ethical contest. To that end, we agree to 1) conduct our contests as ethically as possible and to address any unethical behavior on the part of our readers, judges, or editors; 2) to provide clear and specific contest guidelines—defining conflict of interest for all parties involved; and 3) to make the mechanics of our selection process available to the public.
